Dr. Dash’s diet has a totally different proportion of nutrients with increase in carbohydrates and a slight reduction in fat and proteins. The primary aim of this diet is to lower the blood pressure and the recommended diet includes low fat dairy products with fruits and vegetables.

Volumetrics is one of the most sought after diet plans that focus on low calorie consumption. This diet places constraints on dry food and recommends good amounts of fruits instead.

Weight Watchers is another weight loss program which plans a healthy diet by increasing carbohydrate rich foods and reducing on the high protein ones. The important advantage with this program is the fact that they allow the user to design his diet rather than giving him a preset meal.
