The Beginning of Low-Carb Diet and Diet Book. In the year 1850 there was a physician named as Doctor Harvey in the country of England. He had a patient William Banting and he came there for the treatment of obesity. At that time, the doctor advised the patient to reduce the starches and sugars in his diet According to the diet he was asked to just take the minimum amount of diet that was required for a day. This came to be the very first low-carb diet .
This plan of the doctor worked out very well and further he also wrote a book on this topic of diet This book was then published and it was given a name a Letter on Corpulence Addressed to the Public. This book was also the first book on diet.
Chewing Food the Right Way
In 19th century, Britain’s four time Prime Minister Willaim Gladstone had suggested a theory according to which he suggested that food should be chewed 32 times before actually swallowing it. This theory was actually supported by the principle that can reduce ones appetite leading to weight loss .
Based on the theory of Willaim he was given the title “Great Masticator named as Horace Fletcher” . However, he took it a step higher as he advised that food should be chewed until it became liquid in the mouth. Also one advice of his was that coffee tea should not be drunk along with meat. He also suggested people not to eat before they are hungry and they should have good disposition
Calculating Calories
There was a chemist who was called as Wilbur Atwater and he was the one who discovered the calorie value of the food. After 20 years in 1918, this concept became important and its effect was spread through the world. people said we must have a count of calories when we eat food and this was actually suggested by a doctor named Lulu Hunt Peters Since it was a scientific method of losing fat, people were enthusiastic about it and it sold like pancakes

The theory proposed earlier were modified and it was known that the amount of food we have doesn’t matter and only the type of food we intake matters . Actually William Hay was the person who introduced this new technique. He also said that the proteins, starches and the sugars must be taken separately so that we can avoid the extra pounds.

In course of time people started experimenting with different types of food . Fast foods also started to come its way. Losing fat became more of a problem and still more kinds of diets came into being . People follow various types of diet mentioned from the beginning theory till the latest technique which leads to reduction of fat.
